House Boat or Boat House?

We went up to Rexburg, ID this last weekend for Jamie Marie McKenna's (Dave's youngest brother Mark's first child) baby blessing. On our way back to Idaho Falls where the family was getting together for lunch, I was watching all the fields and cows go by when suddenly I made Dave stop and turn around. He obediently did so but did question my motives. Well, this is why and let me tell you... we both got a good chuckle and he was once again very glad he listened to me! We were debating Boat House or House Boat? What are your thoughts?

My Amazingly Talented Brother-in-law.....

Any of you who know me know I love ART!!!!! It is the subject of my useless degree. (BA in Art History). It is now a monetary degree by any means but more an acedemic one. I just love to study art. Well, I have this brother-in-law Mark McKenna. You can check out his work at

Anyways, here is an illustration he did of Keanon. I absolutely love it and wanted to share!

Thank Heavens for the SUN!!!!

You know.... for a while I was beginning to wonder if the Sun got lost somewhere over outer Mongolia!!!! I am so excited to say where ever it retreated to..... IT IS BACK!!!! Having a two year old makes you very grateful for the warmth the sun brings. You start counting down the days till you can spend all day running around outside instead of being pent up in a house ravished by construction workers, painters, plumbers, electricians, and of course the best looking Handyman in training I have ever seen. (Yes Dave is refining his tiling skills at the moment!)

I thought I was going to go crazy! But Alas I am still here and proud to report that both Keanon and I still have our wits about us and most importantly he is still in one piece! I will post a few pics of our mess and what we have done to stay out of the cavalry's way!

1) The Duck Pond.

There is a duck pond relatively close to our house and with Keanon's love for farm animals we have visited it almost daily to feed the "qwack qwacks" as he calls them!

2) Hide and Seek.

Some how he got into his toy shelf and thought it would be hilarious to scare me to death when I couldn't find him! Not so funny!!!

3) St. Patty's Day
My sister and one of her friends do a little daycare for their kids a couple of times a week. It just so happened that it was at my sister's house on the 17th. So she invited Keanon, Ethan (the little boy I babysit) and me over for a Leprechaun party. A Leprechaun left his foot prints in her apartment and the kids followed them to find the little pots of gold that the little green man with red hair left. Yes, that is my sister in the giant Leprechaun hat! PS. Yes I am Irish but that doesn't mean I know how to spell leprechaun!

And Finally........

4) The Cow Movie!!!

As I mentioned before, Keanon LOVES farm animals. ESPECIALLY COWS!!!! He is Obsessed! We have Baby Einstien's MacDonalds Farm. He calls it his Cow Movie and wants to watch it a million times a day! It drives me crazy but it does pass the time when you are stuck inside (a nearly gutted house) with a 2 year old BOY!!! All of you out there who have one understand my predicament!

Keanon's 2nd Birthday!!!

Birthday Lunch with Dad at Applebee's.
We road the Trax down to Dave's work at the Gateway and meet him for Lunch!
What more could a 2 year old want than a HUGE plate of Mac and Cheese?

Buttercream Frosting... Chocolate Cake.... Baverian Cream Filling....

He already has expensive taste!

Bithday Boo Boo's.... A Fat Lip....

And a HUGE gash! I think Dave needs to trim his finger nails. Why do these things always happen on birthdays?
